Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake.

The Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake has been spotted testing in Germany. This is the second model with the CLA badge, the first being the sedan. It is expected to make its public debut at the Detroit motor show 2015.

Essentially a wagon body style, the CLA Shooting Brake trades a boot for a svelte hatch. It is based on the same front-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive MFA platform as the sedan. This architecture is also seen on the Mercedes A-class and the B-class. Styling is very similar to the CLS Shooting Brake offered in global markets. The CLA Shooting Brake has added space and practicality over its sedan sibling.

Closer home, Mercedes will be launching the CLA sedan soon. It will be the entry luxury sedan in Mercedes India’s arsenal and the humbler, more accessible version of the performance-focused CLA 45 AMG. The AMG-prepped CLA was launched in India recently.

Here, the Mercedes CLA compact luxury sedan will be facing competition from the potent Audi A3.
