BMW to provide special services to Ola cabs

BMW has entered an agreement to provide Ola fleet operators with offers on purchase, maintenance and re-sale of BMW cars. BMW cars are currently available as part of the Ola Lux service provided by the ride hailing service. Ola Lux is available for booking at a minimum fare of Rs 250 and Rs 20-22 per kilometre.

Ola fleet operators will be able to avail of 100 percent financing for up to four years at low interest rates on purchase of the luxury cars for its luxury taxi service. The fleet operator will also receive benefits on after-sales support and a guaranteed buyback on the completion of the contract. As part of the agreement, BMW will also provide training to drivers about the cars’ safety systems and technology.

The agreement is Ola’s second in two months with the company previously having signed an MoU with Indian SUV maker Mahindra. Ola is presently offering its luxury taxi service in Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Bengaluru only, though it is expected to expand to other cities as well in the future.
