BMW Experience Tour 2014 is in Chennai from 4-7 September. This is the seventh city to host BMW India’s 12 city tour. The event is being held at the Madras Motor Sports Race Track in Irungattukottai.

The BMW Experience Tour 2014 showcases the brand’s entire range of sedans and SUVs lapping a specially designed test course. Philipp von Sahr, president, BMW Group India, said, “With this unique initiative, we wish to take a step closer to our customers, bring many more customers to the BMW fold and make them experience true Sheer Driving Pleasure.”

The Experience Tour has already covered Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Pune and Mumbai. From Chennai, it heads to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kochi, Lucknow and Kolkata. This will provide customers in these markets an opportunity to test drive vehicles and interact with product experts.

The event will host separate sessions for the sedans and SUVs. Customers will get to drive the BMW 1-series, 3-series, 5-series and the 7-series, and put them through braking, slalom, corner braking and fast lap exercises. The SUVs; BMW X3, X5 and X6, will be driven on ramps and obstacles like articulation humps, steep hills and inclines. The event will also provide customers the opportunity to experience BMW’s M range of performance cars. All of this will be under the guidance of BMW trainers.
