Audi is planning to debut its third Prologue concept in the form of a high-riding Allroad variant called the Prologue Allroad concept at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month. The Prologue Allroad is expected to become the predecessor to the next generation Audi A6 Allroad which will launch internationally in 2018.

This latest concept is set to receive a number of Audi’s Allroad design touches such as increased ground clearance, beefed-up bumpers, cladding within the wheel arches and aluminium roof-rails.

On the inside the Prologue Allroad concept is expected to feature more rugged design elements, compared to the previous two concepts.

Audi also plans to showcase a new petrol-electric hybrid system in the new Q7. The hybrid powertrain is set to be made available for the SUV in select international markets in 2016.
