The teaser video reveals a headlight design similar to the Tayron R-Line, featuring projector LED units, a connected light bar, and an illuminated Volkswagen logo in the centre. Details of the grille and front bumper remain undisclosed, although these elements are expected to differ from the sportier R-Line variant and adopt a simpler design.

In profile, the SUV features a new alloy wheel design, with the exact wheel size yet to be confirmed. For reference, the Tayron R-Line is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels. The teaser also shows gloss-black wheel arches and roof rails, while the rear gets connected LED taillights with an illuminated Volkswagen logo. The rear bumper design is expected to differ from the R-Line model.

Inside, the lower-spec Tayron is shown with dual-tone seat upholstery, unlike the all-black interior offered on the Tayron R-Line. The cabin layout appears to carry over the free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display seen on the R-Line variant. Other visible features include blue ambient lighting, metal pedals, and a panoramic sunroof. While Volkswagen has not yet revealed the full feature list of the lower-spec Tayron, it is expected to miss out on some of the equipment offered on the higher-spec variant.

The lower-spec Volkswagen Tayron is expected to use the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as the Tayron R-Line, producing 204hp and 320Nm of torque. It is also likely to retain the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), with power sent to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.

As a lower-spec variant, Volkswagen is expected to price it below the sportier Tayron R-Line, which is currently priced at Rs 46.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to compete with rivals such as the Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian.
