Inside, the MG4 features an 8-inch driver display and a larger 15.6-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay. Front seats now offer heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions. Driver-assistance systems have also been updated, with added capabilities for complex parking scenarios, including nose-in parking and dead-end parking assist.

The MG4 continues on SAIC’s dedicated EV platform and incorporates technologies such as a semi-solid battery, cell-to-body battery integration and integrated thermal management.

MG 07: Electrified fastback with new platform

MG also shared details of the MG 07, a new flagship coupe positioned as an electrified alternative to the MG7. Unlike the MG7, the MG 07 is built on a new energy vehicle (NEV) platform and will be offered with both pure electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

The MG 07 will be among the first production models to feature the Momenta R7 system, developed in partnership with autonomous driving firm Momenta. This enables features such as urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) and a ‘parking space to parking space’ automated driving function.

MG 4X SUV confirmed

MG also confirmed that a new electric SUV, the MG 4X, will make its global debut in May. The entry-level version will feature rear-wheel drive, a five-link independent suspension and a semi-solid battery as standard.
