Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe Performance Edition: What’s new?
Equipped with active roll stabilisation, superior brakes and 22-inch rims
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Performance Edition comes with the AMG Dynamic Plus Package as standard, which brings active roll stabilisation, an improved braking system with ventilated and perforated brake discs, red brake calipers and 22-inch alloy wheels finished in black. It is also equipped with the AMG Track Pace app for live on-track telemetry data and a new AMG Performance steering wheel with leatherette upholstery. These are all optional extras on the standard AMG GLE 53.
Side steps are a notable addition to the exterior. Otherwise, the Performance Edition is no different than the standard model on the outside, featuring LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) and a large grille with an AMG badge and chrome-finished vertical bars. The rear is highlighted by wraparound LED tail-lights, a boot-lid-mounted spoiler and dual tailpipes integrated into both sides of the bumper.
Features from the standard car have been carried over. These include dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation, a head-up display (HUD), a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger and four-zone climate control. It also gets powered front seats with ventilation, heating and memory functions and a 13-speaker Burmester sound system.

The Performance Edition comes with the standard AMG GLE 53’s 3-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine that produces 435hp and 520Nm, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels (AWD). It can go from 0 to 100kph in a claimed 5.3 seconds before maxing out at an electronically limited top speed of 250kph.
Prices are ex-showroom, India.
