TVS Srichakra Ltd, TVS’s motorcycle tyre-manufacturing arm recently entered into a contract manufacture agreement with Michelin to make two-wheeler tyres under the international brand name.

TVS will set up a new production plant at their existing manufacturing site in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The new setup will be capable of manufacturing 36 lakh, two-wheeler including scooter and motorcycle tyres, annually. This could mean that the TVS-BMW motorcycles that will come to India soon, will use these upmarket Michelin tyres for a grippy ride.

Michelin is known to manufacture all kinds of tyres for four and two-wheeler vehicles, as well as truck radial tyres for which they have a unit near Chennai.
