QJ Motor SRV 600 V2

The QJ Motor SRV 600 V2 has been spotted testing on Indian roads, suggesting a possible launch by Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) – the Hyderabad-based distributor that currently retails QJ Motor, Benelli, Keeway and Zontes motorcycles in the country. The test mule was spotted in a black colour scheme and without any camouflage.

QJ Motor SRV 600 V2 details

The SRV 600 range is also available with a V4 engine in some international markets

The SRV 600 V2 follows a classic bobber-inspired design, featuring a round headlight, circular LED turn indicators and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. The V2 variant has been on sale in international markets for nearly two years and, if launched in India, would become QJ Motor's largest-capacity offering here.

Power comes from a 550cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine producing 52.4hp at 8,000rpm and 53Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and transfers power to the rear wheel via a belt-drive system.

Cycle parts include a USD fork up front, twin rear shock absorbers, a 320mm front disc and a 260mm rear disc brake. The motorcycle rides on 16-inch alloy wheels at both ends wrapped in 130/90 front and 180/65 rear tyres.

According to QJ Motor's global specifications, the SRV 600 V2 weighs 201kg and has a seat height of just 705mm, which should make it approachable for a lot of shorter riders.

QJ Motor's current India line-up, distributed through AARI, comprises the SRC 250, SRC 300, SRC 500 and SRK 400. While the SRV 600 V2 would offer a distinctive V-twin-powered alternative in the segment, AARI's relatively limited sales and service network compared to more established manufacturers could prove to be one of its biggest challenges against rivals such as the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650.
