    Honda Activa 5G, 6G, 125, H’ness CB350 recalled due to reflector issue

Honda has recalled multiple models to replace faulty safety reflectors.

    • The recall includes scooters and motorcycles

    • The safety reflector is positioned on the fork of the two-wheelers

    • Honda has said that the impact on visibility is insignificant

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) models like the X Blade, Hornet 2.0, H’ness CB350, Activa 5G, Activa 6G, Activa 125 BSVI, CB Shine, CB 300R, manufactured between November 2019 and January 2021 are part of the recall.

According to the company, the reflectors that fit on the fork are at “slight variance from the required photometric provisions resulting in insufficient light reflection efficiency”. However, Honda has also added that the impact on visibility is insignificant.

The company has begun the recall process from June 1, 2021, but that’s subject to local lockdown guidelines. Service centres across India will install the replacement part at no cost. CB300R and H’ness CB350 customers have been asked to visit the nearest Honda BigWing Dealer for the replacement.

Customers can check if their vehicle is affected on the company’s ‘Campaign’ page on the official website.
