It looks like discounts aren't limited to petrol-powered two-wheelers during the lockdown as Hero Electric has just announced a cash discount of up to Rs 5,000 most of its models. The Flash lead-acid low speed model is not part of this offer, while the Glyde Push Scooter and Velocity E-Cycle are being offered with a Rs 3,000 discount.

The offer is limited to all online bookings made starting between April 17 and May 15, 2020. The booking amount is fixed at Rs 2,999, irrespective of the model. Customers can take delivery of the electric scooter any time after the lockdown opens and up to June end.

Hero Electric’s current line-up includes the Flash, Nyx, Optima, Photon, Flash, Dash and also the ER (Extended Range) variants, along with the Glyde and E-Cycle.

The company is aiming to double its capacity and to take its current 600 touchpoints to 800 by the end of 2020. The Hero Electric stand at the Auto Expo was among the more popular ones, and the company had an electric-trike called the AE-3 and an e-motorcycle called the AE-47 on display.
