Honda Gold Wing launched at Rs 28.5 lakh

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has just launched its new flagship motorcycle for the Indian market, the Gold Wing GL1800. Honda has launched two variants of the Gold Wing here, the Gold Wing Audio Comfort and Gold Wing Airbag. 
 
The Gold Wing Audio Comfort variant has a number of useful features such as heated grips and individually adjustable heated seats. The bike is also equipped with three panniers (which can accomodate 150 litres), six speakers and an 80-watt surround sound system.
 
The top-of-the-line model comes equipped with an airbag system and is called the Gold Wing Airbag. The passenger gets a contoured seat, grab rails and comfortable footrests.
 
Both Gold Wing models come equipped with cruise control and an electronic reverse gear, to back the heavy bike up in parking situations. 
 
The massive motorcycle comes with a four-stroke, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine that displaces 1,832cc.
 
Safety features such as a CBS (Combined Braking System) and ABS are provided standard,with twin disc brakes in front and a single unit behind, to help bring the heavy, 420kg bike to a halt. This motorcycle has an aluminum frame and a single-side swingarm at rear. 
 
The Honda Gold Wing Audio Comfort is available in a red and black dual-tone paint scheme and is priced at Rs 28.50 lakh whereas, the Honda Gold Wing Airbag is available in white and retails for Rs 31.50 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
