BMW Motorrad has just confirmed that bookings for the BS6-compliant 2020 G 310 R and G 310 GS will begin from September 1, 2020.

  • Bookings for both 310 models to begin from September 1

  • Teaser suggests improved refinement

  • Styling changes include a redesigned headlight housing, among others

BMW has confirmed that India will be the first market to get the updated G 310 R and G 310 GS. Customers can visit any BMW Motorrad dealership or fill up an enquiry form on the brand’s website to make their booking. The company has also said that deliveries will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis.

While the company hasn’t revealed details about the updated motorcycles, the teaser does hint at a shift to all-LED lighting. However, this change was known back in July 2020, when the updated BMW twins were spotted on test. The bikes also appear to have a redesigned housing for the headlights.

The G 310 twins share their co-developed 312.2cc single-cylinder engine with the TVS Apache RR 310. With its most recent update, the RR 310 has been equipped with ride-by-wire throttle, four ride modes and a upgraded instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. At the moment, we can’t say for certain how much of this tech will make its way onto the G 310s.  The teaser revealed by BMW hints that the BS6 models will be more refined as well.
