India Yamaha Motor recently launched the Fascino here. The new Fascino joins the competitive 110cc automatic scooter segment that features capable and smart looking scooters like the TVS Scooty Zest 110, which won our appreciation last year, and best sellers like Honda’s Activa 3G. We’ve done a comparison up on paper to see how they fair, taking into consideration individual specifications.
Displacement
The Yamaha Fascino makes a good case for itself when it comes to power in this particular comparison. The stylish Yamaha displaces 113cc, in comparison to the TVS Scooty Zest 110 that makes 109.7cc and the Honda that makes the least at 109.2cc. Engine displacement though is not always what determines how the scooter performs in the real world.

Power
Even though the Yamaha is equipped with the most cubic capacity, it makes the least amount of power. The Honda Activa 3G produces 8bhp at 7,500rpm, making it the most powerful contender, but only by a mere 0.1bhp. The TVS Scooty Zest makes 7.9bhp at 7,500rpm. The Yamaha Fascino makes 7bhp at 7,500rpm.

Torque
Power aside, a healthy amount of torque is equally important as it allows power to be accessed quickly without having to play throttle too much. The TVS Scooty Zest 110 and the Honda Activa 3G make identical torque figures, which also peak at the same rpm, which is 0.9kgm at 5,500rpm. The Yamaha Fascino makes just a little less, 0.8kgm but at 5,000rpm, which is sure to aid easy power delivery.
