Chinese brand CFMoto has been making waves internationally with a series of capable yet aggressively priced motorcycles, and the brand is gearing up to launch in India in mid-2025.

CFMoto 450MT launch details
CFMoto motorcycles were on sale in India for a relatively short period from 2019, but the company appeared to have stopped sales after the BS6 regulations. While CFMoto was previously sold in India via Hyderabad-based AMW Motorcycles, the company is now in the final stages of appointing a new partner in India, which will be disclosed shortly.
CFMoto is a very different company today compared to when it was last selling bikes in India, and it has several premium and well-received products already on sale in Europe. Perhaps the most popular of these is the 450MT adventure bike, which uses a parallel-twin engine and boasts impressive off-road capabilities, including a 21-inch/18-inch wheel setup, 200mm of suspension travel and a low 800mm seat height. An area where the 450MT scores particularly high is its price, which is on par or even lower than single-cylinder rivals from Royal Enfield and KTM in various markets.
Considering that this bike will come into our market in CKD form, it remains to be seen how aggressive the company can be with its pricing. However, CFMoto is aware that this is its second innings here and is keen to make a strong impression upon launch.
If all goes well with the ongoing discussions with its local partner, CFMoto should debut in our market by mid-2025. The 450MT will be just the start, and the company has multiple other motorcycles as options for India, including the new 675cc three-cylinder models and the 700MT, which we recently rode at the company’s annual global launch event in Portugal.
