    Aprilia SXR 125 pre-bookings open

Aprilia has commenced pre-bookings of the SXR 125 in India. This is essentially the Aprilia SXR 160 with a 125cc engine, which means everything from the bodywork to the chassis is identical. Aprilia has begun production of the SXR 125 at its plant in Baramati and the scooter has arrived at a few dealerships as well.

    • New 125cc variant of the SXR range

    • Booking amount is Rs 5,000

    • Design and equipment similar to that on the SXR 160

    Aprilia SXR 125 engine

The Aprilia SXR 125 is expected to be powered by the same engine that you get in the SR 125.  The 3-valve, single-cylinder engine produces 9.5hp and 9.2Nm.

    Aprilia SXR 125 features

Almost all the features that are present in the Aprilia SXR 160 have trickled down to the SXR 125. This includes all-LED lights, USB charging port, digital instrument cluster and the optional Bluetooth connectivity. However, since this is a 125cc scooter, it only gets CBS or Combined braking system instead of ABS.

    Aprilia SXR 125 booking details

The Aprilia SXR 125 can be booked by paying Rs 5,000 at any Aprilia dealership in the country. Alternatively, customers can also book the scooter online at the Aprilia India website.

Aprilia SXR 125 price, colours and competition

Aprilia’s SXR 125 will be available in four colours- Matt Black, Glossy White, Matt Blue and Glossy Red. These are identical to the ones available with the SXR 160.

While Aprilia is yet to announce the price of the SXR 125, expect it to be roughly Rs 25,000 to 30,000 cheaper than the SXR 160 at Rs 1.27 lakh. That said, it is expected to cost a fair premium over its rival the Suzuki Burgman 125 that is priced at Rs 84,000.

    All prices, ex-showroom
