Yamaha has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the recent GST reduction to customers across its entire two-wheeler line-up, effective September 22. This follows the government’s decision to reduce GST from 28 percent to 18 percent for motorcycles under 350cc.
- Exact price drop for Yamaha R3 and MT-03 yet to be revealed
- New prices announced only for select variants
Yamaha GST price reduction details
Top-spec R15M to get a price cut of over Rs 17,000.
Unlike many manufacturers with mixed portfolios, Yamaha benefits from having its entire India line-up under the 350cc threshold, meaning every model qualifies for the reduced tax rate.
Among the updated prices revealed, the R15M in the ‘Icon Performance’ colourway – currently the most expensive model in Yamaha’s portfolio apart from the R3 and MT-03 – sees the highest absolute saving of Rs 17,581, with its price falling from Rs 2.12 lakh to Rs 1.94 lakh.
The scooter range also benefits, with the flagship Aerox 155 Version S dropping by Rs 12,753, from Rs 1.54 lakh to Rs 1.41 lakh. Entry-level scooters like the Fascino and RayZR also receive smaller but meaningful price cuts.
