TVS has unveiled four new products destined for Europe at EICMA 2026. The one garnering the most attention is the brand-new RTR 125 LC motorcycle. The other three are e-scooters, two of which are already available in India: the Orbiter and X. However, TVS has changed the wheel setup on the X for Europe. TVS could decide to launch the RTR 125 and M1S in India, although currently there have been no such indications from the company.
- RTR 125 LC is aimed at A1 licence holders, offers lots of tech features
- The X gets 14-inch wheels in Europe, unlike 12-inch ones in India
- Price and availability are yet to be confirmed by TVS
TVS RTR 125 LC: What you need to know
Powered by a new 125cc liquid-cooled engine
The RTR 125 LC was a bit of a surprise, because on the surface, it appears to be a brand-new product. It is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine making 14.7hp at 9,000rpm and 12Nm at 7,000rpm. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox, with a slip-and-assist clutch. The tubular trellis frame is also new, as is the cast swingarm. The bike’s suspension is supplied by KYB, with a 41mm USD fork and a rear monoshock. The motorcycle has a 100/80-17 front tyre and a 140/70R17 rear tyre. For stopping duties, the bike has brakes powered by Bybre: a 300mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard.
TVS appears to be looking to position this as a tech-forward beginner motorcycle. A 5-inch TFT display with full screen map mirroring is standard, as are ride modes. The RTR also has Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity.
Alongside the RTR 125 LC, TVS has debuted the Orbiter, X and M1S electric scooters for Europe. While the Orbiter remains unchanged from its Indian version, the X has been upgraded to 14-inch wheels (versus 12-inch in India). The M1S is a product we don’t have in India; it’s powered by a 4.2kWh battery driving a motor capable of making 12.5kW peak power and has a WMTC range of 120km.
TVS has not yet revealed prices for any of the four products, reserving them for closer to the launch, timelines for which are also yet to be confirmed. As for an India launch, neither the RTR 125 nor the M1S appear to be headed to our shores just yet, but TVS could decide otherwise next year. However, with all its features, the RTR 125 LC would probably sit much higher up on the ladder if it shows up here.
