Royal Enfield brought its two new 650cc parallel-twin engine motorcycles to the 2017 Rider Mania, the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.

While both bikes had debuted earlier in November at the 2017 EICMA event in Milan, this is the first time they have been showcased in India.

The Royal Enfield-sponsored Rider Mania is an annual three-day motorcycle-based event where bike enthusiasts from all over India gather to take part in interactive events that include dirt track racing, assembly wars and live music performances.

At the event, Royal Enfield confirmed its roll-out plan for the new bikes. The Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650, which share the 47hp/52Nm 648cc parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed gearbox, will be offered in European markets by April 2018. After a six-month interval, they will launch in India as well.
