New spy images of the long-anticipated naked version of the TVS Apache RR 310 have emerged, hinting at an impending launch.

  1. Has an angular, sharply raked tail section
  2. Gets dual LED headlamps
  3. Likely to use underpinnings from the Apache RR 310

Less than two months after the naked TVS Apache RR 310 was spied for the first time, fresh spy images have surfaced, showing the bike in what looks to be production form. The immediate thing that will grab your attention is that the tail looks dramatically different to the Apache RR 310. This one looks tall, angular and aggressive with a hint of KTM 1290 Super Duke in the overall look of the subframe.

The clean look of the tail is thanks to the large hugger, which also holds the indicators, thus freeing the rear from the need for a fender. The only familiar-looking angle from the rear is the exhaust, which looks just like the one on the Apache RR 310.

Not much is visible of the side and front angles, but you can tell that the bike appears to have a large fuel tank with big extensions. The radiator will have some shrouds along the side as well. The bike seems to have premium-looking mirrors and the digital instrument console looks different to the vertical unit in the Apache RR 310. As for the front, there’s only one photo that suggests that this bike will get a powerful set of dual LED headlights.

Given the fact that the exhaust looks very familiar, it's safe to expect that the powertrain will be similar to the current Apache RR 310, which has been out for nearly six years now. The liquid-cooled 312cc single-cylinder engine makes 34hp and 27.3Nm in the RR 310.

Another thing that remains unclear at this point is what the final name will be. While we are currently referring to it as the TVS Apache RTR 310, the company did recently trademark the Apache RTX name, so there is a chance that this could be the TVS Apache RTX 310.

Either way, TVS test bikes are usually spotted on the road once they are close to launch, so we could be looking at an official debut sometime in the festive season.
