Burgman’s cumulative sales cross 1.1 million units

The most noticeable updates come in the lighting design, with a revised LED headlight and tail-lamp setup giving the scooter a noticeably fresh look. It also gets a more angular, boxy exhaust muffler. The updated model now features keyless ignition with a multifunction key fob that can operate the seat, fuel filler and handle lock. However, that’s reserved for the top-spec variant that also gets a TFT dash, and the lower variants continue with an LCD unit and a physical key. The fuel filler has been repositioned under the tail-lamp for added convenience.

Underneath, the Burgman Street is now based on a new platform shared with the Suzuki Access, featuring a frame that is claimed to be 500g lighter while offering 25 percent higher torsional rigidity. The chassis setup continues with telescopic front suspension and a rear monoshock, riding on 12-inch wheels at both ends. The scooter continues with a front disc and rear drum brake setup with Suzuki’s Combined Brake System and notably misses out on ABS, which was recently introduced on the Access at a starting price of Rs 93,228.

Storage has increased to 24.6 litres, up from 21.5 litres, and the scooter also gets USB charging and twin cubby holes, similar to the Access. It now features a slightly larger 5.5-litre fuel tank, up by 0.2 litres (compared to the Access), and a 160mm ground clearance.

Powering the Burgman is a 124cc fuel-injected air-cooled engine producing 8.4hp and 10.2Nm, paired with a CVT gearbox. The scooter continues to offer both electric and kick start, and it now benefits from a new starter clutch for quieter operation, improved 30-60kph acceleration and a retuned exhaust note.

Kerb weight stands at 114kg for the LCD variant and 115kg for the TFT version, making it notably heavier than the Access, which weighs around 106-107kg.

The EX variant (Rs 1.08 lakh) continues unchanged. Prices for the 2026 Burgman Street range from Rs 1.02 lakh to Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), with dual-tone and single-tone colour options offered on TFT and LCD variants, respectively.
