Over the last month, US-based bike maker, Indian Motorcycle, has trademarked two names for what could potentially be brand-new motorcycle platforms. The trademarks for ‘Indian Raven’ and ‘Indian Renegade’ were registered as ‘Motorcycles and structural parts therefor’.

Back on December 17, 2018, the name ‘Indian Raven’ was trademarked. Rumours suggest that the ‘Raven’ could be based off the Indian FTR 1200, but there is no official information that suggests this. This was followed by the company trademarking the name ‘Indian Renegade’ on January 3, 2019. Another US based manufacturer, UM Motorcycles, already uses the name Renegade for its line-up of cruisers and it will be interesting to see what Indian Motorcycle has in store with this name.

Until further information about the two bikes is revealed, we have no timeline of when they can be expected. The launch of the new FTR 1200 S in India hints that the country is an important market for the manufacturer, and so there is a probability that the new bikes will eventually make their way here.
