The Xpulse 421 was earlier spotted testing in Ladakh, with spy shots revealing an adventure-focused design featuring a tall windscreen, a large fuel tank, wire-spoke wheels and long-travel suspension. It is expected to use an all-new single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine displacing around 420cc, housed in a new steel trellis frame.

While Hero has yet to reveal performance figures, the new ADV could produce around 40hp or more. A large TFT display, multiple riding modes and cruise control are also expected, based on features seen on the test mule.

If unveiled at EICMA, the Xpulse 421 could arrive in India sometime in 2027. It is likely to take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure and is expected to be priced between Rs 2.70 lakh and Rs 2.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Official specifications, pricing and launch timelines should be revealed soon.
