Hero MotoCorp has launched the flex-fuel versions of the Splendor+ and HF Deluxe, priced at Rs 82,710 and Rs 72,792 respectively (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Compatible with ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85, the motorcycles will go on sale in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra from July 2026, with a nationwide rollout planned thereafter.

The motorcycles will initially be available in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra from July 2026
Underpinning both motorcycles is Hero's long-serving 97.2cc single-cylinder engine, now adapted to run on ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85. In E85 guise, the engine produces 8.6hp at 8,000rpm and 8.3Nm at 6,000rpm. To support operation on higher ethanol blends, Hero has equipped the motorcycles with revised ECU calibration and upgraded fuel system components, including a new fuel pump and secondary fuel filter.
As the government continues to push for greater ethanol adoption, Hero has introduced flex-fuel technology on two of its highest-volume commuter motorcycles. While flex-fuel two-wheelers have been showcased before, they have largely remained limited to higher-capacity models and technology demonstrators. The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel commands a premium of just Rs 172 over its E20-compliant counterpart, while the Splendor+ Flex Fuel costs Rs 5,153 more, bringing the technology closer to the mainstream commuter segment.
Hero says the Splendor and HF families collectively account for roughly one in every three motorcycles on Indian roads. As a result, the launch brings flex-fuel technology to a segment that accounts for a substantial share of India's two-wheeler market.
Both motorcycles receive a digi-analogue instrument cluster, side-stand engine cut-off and tubeless tyres, while the Splendor+ Flex Fuel additionally gets Hero's i3S idle stop-start system. The motorcycles will initially be available in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra from July 2026 before being rolled out to other markets across the country.
