Bajaj has brought back a popular suffix to the classic Pulsar range of motorcycles, launching the Pulsar 180 in India after a long hiatus at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 180 was discontinued back in 2022, and it left a gap between the Pulsar 150 and 220F, which has now been filled.

It costs Rs 4,000 less than the TVS Apache RTR 180
The Pulsar 180, as the name suggests, comes powered by a 178.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 17hp at 8,500rpm and 15Nm at 6,500rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The peak power remains the same as the model that was discontinued in 2022; however, torque has risen by 0.8Nm. It makes 3hp and 1.75Nm more than the Pulsar 150.
Braking is handled via a 280mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc with ABS. Much like the entire classic Pulsar range, the 180, too, gets a telescopic fork and twin-shock absorbers setup. It has a fuel-carrying capacity of 15 litres, a kerb weight of 156kg and a ground clearance of 165mm. It runs on 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod in 90/120-section (F/R) tubeless tyre setup.
The Pulsar 150 was recently updated with a new LED headlight and a negative LCD dash, and all of those updates have also made their way to the Pulsar 180.
It is available in a single variant with 5 colour options: black-gold, black-blue, black-grey, black-red and white.
Priced at Rs 1.22 lakh, it commands a premium of Rs 12,000 over the Pulsar 150. Compared to its direct rival, the TVS Apache RTR 180, it is priced Rs 4,000 lower.
