Earlier this week, we reported that Triumph was expected to increase prices for its recently introduced 350cc motorcycles from June 1. The brand has now updated pricing for the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400, with the models costing up to Rs 5,000 more than before.
- Speed 400’s price revised to Rs 2.34 lakh
- Speed T4 costs Rs 1.99 lakh now
Triumph Speed 400 and Speed T4 revised prices
The Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400 see the highest hike
The Speed 400 now costs Rs 2,000 more and is priced at Rs 2.34 lakh, while the Speed T4 has received a larger Rs 4,000 hike, taking its price to Rs 1.99 lakh. The Thruxton 400 and Scrambler 400 XC have both gone up by Rs 5,000 and are now priced at Rs 2.70 lakh and Rs 2.94 lakh, respectively (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
This is the first price revision for the Speed T4, which was the only model in the line-up that did not receive a price reduction following the GST 2.0-driven switch to the downsized 350cc platform. As things stand, the current 350cc Speed T4 now costs more than the earlier 399cc version on sale until a few months ago.
The Speed T4 now produces 29hp and 31Nm, down from the 398.15cc engine that made 31hp and 36Nm. The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 XC both produce 37hp and 32Nm, compared to 40hp and 37.5Nm earlier. The Thruxton 400 uses the most powerful state of tune in the range, producing 40hp and 32Nm – the same figures as the newly launched Tracker 400.
Prices for the Triumph Tracker 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X are yet to be updated on Triumph India’s website. We will update this story once those revised prices are confirmed.
