Jeep has now disclosed the technical specifications of its all-electric Recon SUV, which was revealed in September 2022. Recon's exterior stays the same as it was three years ago, featuring Jeep's signature seven-slot grille, panoramic sunroof, removable four doors, and even the rear quarter glass on both sides and the windshield behind. The Recon is Jeep's first electric vehicle built primarily for off-road use, and joins the Wagoneer S and Avenger EVs in the firm's line-up. The off-roader uses the same STLA Large platform as the Wagoneer S, and runs a 400V 100kWh battery with dual motors enabling 4WD, making 659hp and 841Nm. It does 0-97kph in a claimed 3.6 seconds, and has a range of 402km. The Moab trim gets 238mm of ground clearance on its 33-inch tyres, along with approach, departure and breakover angles of 34-, 34.5- and 23.5-degree, respectively. The Jeep Recon will begin production in early 2026, with initial launches in the US and Canada, followed by other car markets in Q4.
