Modern motorcycles have embraced digital displays, with TFT screens and LCD panels becoming ubiquitous across segments. While this has made them more feature-laden and modern, the visceral experience of watching an analogue needle sweep through the rev range is now a rarity. Yet, a handful of motorcycles continue to offer this traditional instrumentation, either as a cost-saving measure or a deliberate nod to heritage. Here are the bikes on sale in India that offer an analogue tachometer.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon price is Rs 79,048

In India, the Pulsar 125 Neon is the most affordable motorcycle with an analogue rev counter. The bike uses a semi-digital instrument console like the one on the older Pulsar 150 (that now gets a fully digital unit), featuring an analogue tachometer alongside a digital display for speed and trip information. The Pulsar 125 is also available in a ‘Carbon Fibre’ variant with a split seat, and it gets a fully digital console.

BSA Gold Star 650

BSA Gold Star 650 price starts at Rs 3.10 lakh

The Gold Star 650 features a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster, staying true to its distinctly retro appearance. The analogue speedo is simple and features an amber backlight, giving you a little glimmer of nostalgia each time the sun sets. It also houses two LCD insets incorporating the odometer, trip and fuel gauge.

Kawasaki Ninja 300

Kawasaki Ninja 300 price is Rs 3.17 lakh

The Ninja 300 retains the digi-analogue display it launched with in 2013. The instrumentation features an analogue tachometer paired with a digital speedometer. The 296cc parallel-twin powering the bike loves to scream all the way up to 13,000rpm, and watching the revs climb as it does so is a special feeling. For 2025, the bike received projector LED headlamps visually similar to a previous-gen ZX-6R, freshening up its appearance while keeping the classic instrument cluster.

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650

Prices start at Rs 3.35 lakh

The Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 feature the same twin-pod analogue instrumentation with the tachometer on the left and speedometer on the right. Both dials are clear and easy to read. The speedo dial on the left also features a small digital screen that displays the trip meter and fuel gauge.

Kawasaki Versys-X 300

The Versys-X 300 shares its engine with the Ninja 300. And like the Ninja, it also features an analogue-digital instrument layout with an analogue tachometer and a digital screen for speed, fuel level, gear position and odometer.

Kawasaki Z650RS

Kawasaki Z650RS price is Rs 7.83 lakh

The Z650RS takes a retro-modern approach with analogue dials flanking a small LCD read-out in between for fuel, trip and other information. The neo-retro naked combines classic styling cues with the modern 649cc parallel-twin producing 68hp and 62.1Nm.

Kawasaki Vulcan S

Kawasaki Vulcan S price is Rs 8.13 lakh

While most of Kawasaki’s 650cc line-up has been modernised, with additions like LED headlights and Bluetooth-equipped TFT instrumentation, the Vulcan continues with a halogen headlight and semi-digital LCD instrumentation. The digital inset on the instruments provides a good deal of information, including speed, fuel level and trip meter, with an old-school analogue tachometer positioned right above it, complementing the rev-happy parallel-twin engine.

Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120

Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 prices start at Rs 10.85 and Rs 11.85 lakh, respectively

The Bonneville T100 and T120 feature two different engines and have a lot of mechanical differences. However, both fall under the same Bonneville range, featuring an old-school design and elements, including the same twin-dial analogue instrument cluster. Despite their classic styling, the bikes are modern in the sense that they also offer rider aids such as switchable ABS and traction control.

Kawasaki Versys 1100

Kawasaki Versys 1100 price is Rs 13.89 lakh

The Versys 1100 combines an analogue tachometer with a comprehensive digital display. It gets a host of IMU-assisted rider aids and cruise control as standard, while accessories such as integrated panniers, a bidirectional quickshifter, protective accessories, a taller windscreen and a touring seat can be added as extras. Its 1,099cc inline-four produces 135hp and 112Nm.

Suzuki Hayabusa

Suzuki Hayabusa price is Rs 18.06 lakh

Despite being a full-fledged sportbike with a long list of electronics, the Hayabusa features a rather comprehensive instrument cluster with predominantly analogue dials. At the centre of this console is a TFT screen that offers a real-time display of data such as lean angle, front and rear brake pressure, rate of acceleration and throttle position. Flanking this screen are analogue dials – one for the speedometer and the other for the tachometer.

BMW R 12 nineT

BMW R 12 nineT price starts at Rs 22.55 lakh

The BMW R 12 nineT features a twin-pod analogue cluster like those we’ve seen on multiple other bikes on this list, with a speedometer on the left and a tachometer on the right. The bike is powered by the same engine as the standard R 12 – a 1,170cc air/oil-cooled boxer mill producing 109hp and 115Nm. However, the standard R 12 only features a single-pod analogue speedometer.

BMW R 18 Transcontinental

BMW R 18 Transcontinental price starts at Rs 34.73 lakh

The BMW R 18 Transcontinental is a special motorcycle to ride, powered by a 1,802cc boxer twin that propels this 427kg machine. Adding to its special character is an almost car-like instrument console with four old-school round gauges, including a tachometer, that sit atop a very modern-looking, 10.25-inch TFT display.

Honda Gold Wing

Honda Gold Wing price starts at Rs 42.82 lakh

The Gold Wing is the most expensive motorcycle on this list. Despite its comprehensive electronics and a large TFT display, Honda has retained an analogue tachometer and speedometer, positioned on either side where the rider can easily monitor them. The instrument console features Apple CarPlay and an in-built navigation system, making the choice to retain the analogue dials a conscious decision that separates the core readouts from all the modern-day gadgetry and features the bike has on offer.

All prices are ex-showroom.
