My newly purchased Grand Vitara base model mileage is only 11KPL. What is the actual KPL?

With 1,000km a month, mostly in the city, four on board most of the time and the odd highway run, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara strong-hybrid does make a lot of sense. In heavy stop-start city traffic, it can run purely on electric power and deliver much better efficiency than the mild-hybrid.Our real-world tests revealed that the strong hybrid manages an incredible 23.77kpl in the city, while the mild-hybrid manages 11.60kpl. Highway efficiency is closer, but the strong-hybrid still wins with 20.39kpl versus the mild-hybrid’s 15.30kpl. The strong-hybrid also has better performance, which will be useful since you often travel with four people on board.That said, the upfront purchase price of the strong-hybrid is significantly higher and, even with the difference in efficiency, your limited usage means it will take a while to recover the extra cost. If you are on a tight budget, then the mild-hybrid is still a good choice. Its automatic is smooth in city traffic, and performance is adequate for most scenarios.For your city-heavy use, though, the strong-hybrid automatic lines up best.

If your Kia Seltos rolled forward after you shifted to Neutral, that by itself is not a fault. In Neutral, the gearbox is disengaged, so even a slight incline can cause the car to roll unless the brake pedal or parking brake is applied. That is normal behaviour.The only nuance is with DCTs, even when in Drive mode on slopes. Unlike a torque converter automatic, a DCT can allow a slight rollback or roll forward on gradients before the clutch fully engages, which is normal for this type of gearbox. The best way to handle this is to keep the auto hold function activated, as it keeps the brakes applied when the car is stationary and only releases them once you get on the throttle, preventing any unintended movement.

Unfortunately, no. The ADAS suite cannot simply be activated on the older 2025 Skoda Kodiaq via a software update alone, because it does not have all the required hardware for the system to function.While modern cars are increasingly software-defined, ADAS is not just a case of unlocking dormant code. It relies on a combination of sensors, cameras, radar modules, control units and the correct electronic architecture working together. If the full hardware stack is not present from the factory, a software update cannot magically add those capabilities.So if your understanding was that all 2025 Kodiaqs were physically ADAS-ready and only awaiting activation, that is unfortunately not the case.
