•30wHi Team, I’m looking for a robust car that can handle Bengaluru’s potholes and worsening traffic. My daily drive is 12-15km, mostly stop-start city driving, with occasional highway trips. The car must be safe on highways, deliver good city mileage, and have great driving dynamics. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto is essential. I’m considering the Tata Altroz (concerned about after-sales), Skoda Kylaq (mileage concern), Volkswagen Virtus/Skoda Slavia, Citroen C3 Aircross X, and the upcoming Dacia Duster. Should I wait for Ford’s return, or do you suggest another option? I plan to keep the car for 5 to 8 years. Thanks!

Of the cars you’ve listed, the Skoda Kylaq fits your requirements best. It’s tough, offers good ground clearance, and is compact enough to handle Bengaluru traffic easily while delivering excellent driving dynamics. Mileage might be a concern, but with VW Group’s TSI engines, careful driving can significantly improve efficiency. Plus, if you’re looking for an automatic, this Volkswagen car’s 6-speed AT is eager and smooth.
The new Renault Duster’s powertrain details will be revealed on January 26, 2026, if you’re open to waiting. As for Ford, if and when it does return, it will unlikely be with mass-market products in this segment like the Ecosport or Figo.
