I am confused between Mahindra XEV 9S and XUV 7XO Petrol.

If you can arrange for home charging, despite your daily city commute of just 25km, the XEV 9S is the more economical option, as your running costs will only be a small fraction of a petrol-automatic XUV 7XO. Also, the electric car is smooth yet zippy performance, and comfy suspension, as well as its light steering and tight turning radius, makes it ideal for city drives. And with an impressive real-world range of over 400km, and quick DC fast charging times, this will be very usable on long highway drives too.

The petrol-automatic is an excellent, punchy powertrain, however it isn't very efficient, and your fuel costs will be substantial compared to what you'll pay using home charging for the EV.

@vijay.67 @sahilb MG windsor , Windsor PRO to be specific, is an excellent choice in this price range. It has an exceptional cabin comfort, smooth drive with a good 15 inch screen and a good 600 l boot space. Also the PRO version give a real time range of 400+ kms. Go for it. No second thoughts...

I’m considering buying a brand-new 2025-manufactured Audi Q3 Sportback (E20-compliant) after being offered an on-road price of Rs 55 lakh. I’m getting a good deal as it’s an outgoing model, and I’m quite inclined towards going ahead with it. Go for the Audi Q3 Sportback at Rs 55 lakh on-road. That is a genuinely strong deal for a 2025-manufactured car, and this Audi car remains a well-rounded premium SUV with a strong 2.0 TFSI engine, a well-built cabin, and a genuinely premium ownership experience. The fact that it is an outgoing model is not a major concern; Audi’s product cycles are long, and the Q3 will continue to be supported for years to come.The Mahindra XUV 7XO is a very different proposition. It offers more space, more features for the money, and a strong diesel option, but this Mahindra car is not a direct rival to the Q3. The Audi is a premium product with a different ownership experience, and if space is not a priority, the Q3 makes more sense.

I am considering the XUV 7XO AX7T/L. However, given the several videos people post online, covering everything from software glitches to even sunroof leaks, do you think it will offer a seamless ownership experience? I have been considering the Seltos as a second option, and I don't see many people raising deal-breaking issues like these. I am very confused right now.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is a fundamentally well-engineered car with strong engines, a comfortable ride and a spacious cabin. The software glitches and sunroof leaks you see online are not widespread issues, and Mahindra has been proactive in addressing them through software updates and warranty support. The Kia Seltos is the safer, more polished choice with a more consistent ownership experience, but the XUV 7XO offers more space and stronger performance.That said, if you are the kind of buyer who will lose sleep over the occasional niggle, the Kia car mentioned above is the safer bet. But if you want the more capable and more spacious car, the XUV 7XO is the better choice.

My budget is around Rs. 30 lakh for a chauffer driven car that will be used for approximately 140 km of daily commute (70 km from home to office and same for vice-versa) that translates to approximately 40,000 km annually. I will be using the rear seat and my priority is a convenient and safe journey without any tiredness because I travel daily. Please suggest me cars for the same.

With 140km of daily running and around 40,000km a year, this is exactly the sort of usage where the HyCross strong hybrid makes sense. Since you will be chauffeur driven and spend most of your time in the second row, its spacious cabin, excellent rear seat comfort, easy ride and strong air conditioning make it well suited to reducing fatigue on a daily commute.The Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7T diesel automatic is another option worth considering within your budget. It has a comfortable ride, strong highway performance and useful active safety technology, but its second row does not offer the same chauffeur driven experience as the HyCross.

Hi, I am planning to buy a CNG SUV and am considering the Tata Nexon CNG and Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG. I will be driving around 150km every day for office, so my main concerns are fuel economy and maintenance costs. Go with the Tata Nexon CNG if that is your preference. At 150 km daily, CNG is the right fuel choice, and both the Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza are factory CNG cars, so reliability and safety are not a concern. The Nexon CNG is a strong product with good performance, a comfortable ride and a well-equipped cabin. The reason many people suggest the Brezza is Maruti's reputation for low maintenance costs, wide service reach and a long-standing reputation for hassle-free ownership. The Brezza CNG is also a very reliable and efficient package. However, the Nexon CNG is the more modern car and feels more premium inside.At 150 km daily, the key is to choose the car you will enjoy driving every day. The Nexon CNG is a solid choice, and there is no reason to change your decision.

Hi, I want to buy my last car as I am 66 years old. I have been driving a Honda City for the last 12 years without any major hiccup. The Honda City engine and its reliability is excellent although its ground clearance is an issue. I have looked at Elevate and given its ground clearance as an SUV, I am impressed although the issues on E20 and abrupt blending issues are surely technical issues. Windsor EV was a great test drive but all controls on screen could be a bottleneck for me at my age and am planning to move to an automatic. Please recommend as experts. My monthly running will not be more than 500 km. Should I also look at Seltos. I will appreciate a feedback from experts. I want a reliable, easy to drive car with low maintenance cost and good family value with. There won't be any great pick ups or many highway drives will not be there.

Given your 12 years of trouble free City ownership, the Elevate is the most natural replacement. It retains Honda’s simple 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, adds substantially better ground clearance and gives you the easier ingress and SUV driving position you liked. The CVT is also very well suited to your low speed, low running usage and should make the transition to an automatic easy.On your E20 concern, we would not treat it as a reason to avoid the Elevate. Honda says all its cars manufactured in India since January 2009 are E20 material compatible, and the current Elevate is officially certified for E20. Honda also says E20 should not cause durability concerns or require any component changes. There can be a marginal reduction in fuel economy because ethanol contains less energy than petrol, but with your 500km monthly running, that is unlikely to be significant.The Seltos is worth a look, particularly if you want a more feature rich and premium cabin, but given your priorities of reliability, easy driving, low maintenance and long term ownership, the Elevate fits your requirements more naturally. The Windsor EV is also an interesting option, but at just 500km a month, there is little financial reason to move to an EV, especially when you have concerns about its touchscreen heavy interface.

I want to know the launch date of the new Toyota Innova Hycross model.

The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to launch in early 2027. Toyota has already been testing the updated Hycross in India, with spy shots showing a revised front end, new lighting elements and a redesigned bumper. The facelift is expected to bring some interior and feature updates as well, while the existing 2.0-litre petrol and strong hybrid powertrains are likely to continue. Toyota has not announced a confirmed launch date yet, so early 2027 is the current expectation rather than a firm date.
