    Maruti Ertiga vs Kia Carens

Which is the best 7-seat MPV available to buy for Rs 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai)?

Autocar India says: There are quite a few 7-seaters that suit your budget, but we would narrow down your choice to the Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The Carens is nicer to drive and has a better interior, but it is currently available in just a single trim. However, you do get more engine options to choose from – there are two petrols and one diesel engine option.

The Ertiga is a more practical 7-seater, offering good space, and it is easy to drive and own. However, the 1.5-litre engine feels a bit weak with all seven passengers on board, and the cabin is a bit dull. If you like driving, the Carens 1.5 is the better choice. Alternately, you can also consider waiting for the upcoming Carens Clavis which is a more premium version of the Carens. Do note it will be more expensive than the regular Carens, so you may have to settle for a lower variant.
