    Kia Sonet vs Kia Seltos

Please help me decide between the Kia Sonet 1.5 diesel-AT and the Kia Seltos 1.5 diesel-AT. I am getting benefits of around Rs 2 lakh on the Seltos, but I feel that Sonet drives better. My family is inclined towards the Seltos due to space on offer and the panoramic sunroof but which is the better driver’s car.

I am a diesel fan and don’t like petrols. Previously, I have owned the Chevrolet Beat 1.0-diesel and the Hyundai Xcent diesel, and I currently drive a Ford Freestyle 1.5-diesel MT.

Autocar India says: The Sonet 1.5 diesel-AT certainly drives better than the Seltos 1.5 diesel-AT and is the best compact SUV in the market. But your family has a valid point, too. The Sonet’s rear is cramped, and it doesn’t make for a great family car. If you are constantly travelling with your family and use the back seat, the Seltos is way more comfortable.

So, if you can convince your family to compromise on space then we would suggest the Sonet 1.5 diesel-AT for its peppier performance and agile handling. But if space is the main priority, then it’s the Seltos for you and your family.
