I'm an employee who rides my vehicle to work every day on a combination of bumpy roads, ghat roads, and highways, covering 96km daily up and down. We are a family of four and also have a dog. Considering these factors, is the Thar ROXX an option for me, or are there any better alternatives? I have previously driven a 2021 Venue, Alto, and Baleno. My budget is around Rs 10-25 lakh.

The Thar Roxx is a fun and capable off-roader, but it is not the right choice for your usage. Your 96 km daily commute on a mix of bumpy roads, ghats and highway demands a car that is comfortable, efficient and easy to live with. This Mahindra car is heavy, has a bouncy ride, limited boot space and is not very fuel-efficient either. It is best suited as a second car or a weekend adventure vehicle.
Given your requirements, the Tata Sierra diesel is the best fit. It has an engine that's strong enough to handle your highway and ghat sections with ease, a comfortable ride, a spacious cabin for your family and a large boot for your dog and luggage. It is also far more efficient and refined for daily use than the Thar Roxx. If you want something more premium and comfortable, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is also worth considering, but the Sierra will be more fuel-efficient, and you will get a top-spec variant in your budget.
