I am planning to buy the Maruti Suzuki Invicto. Is this a good option?

Yes, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto is a solid buy if you want a smooth and efficient family mover. The strong-hybrid powertrain shines in traffic, so you get a quiet, relaxed drive, and it is very fuel-efficient too. Space and comfort are its big strengths, especially the second row, and the light steering and good visibility make this big MPV easy to handle in town.

If you often do airport runs or weekend trips, it works well, but be aware of two things. With all three rows up, boot space is tight. Also, when fully loaded on highways, it feels calm rather than quick.

It is priced on the higher side for a Maruti, and you miss a few fancy features the Toyota Innova Hycross it is based on gets, but for stress-free city use and long-term running costs, it makes sense.

Hi Experts, I’m from Hyderabad. 45+ couple, 2 kids (11yrs) with Motion sickness issues, parents 80 yrs+. Need 6-seater Petrol AT with middle row sliding feature. Iam currently driving Zen estilo vxi petrol variant 2007. Budget is maximum Rs 30 Lakhs on road. Usage: 4000 km/yr, usage weekly once, 60% highway at 90-100 kmph, 40% city. Parents come 25% of the usage. Planning to keep for 12-15 years. Parents need easy ingress like Innova hycross. Is ADAS required according to my usage? Priority: No battery drain with weekly once use, suitable for kids with Motion sickness issues, safety, features, mileage, after-sales, resale. Shortlisted: 1. Tata Safari Petrol Accomplished Plus 2. It is the easiest to get in and out of among your list, the middle-row captain seats slide to set a calm seating position for the kids, and the ride stays steady at 90-100 kph, so they feel less queasy. For a 12-15 year plan, Toyota’s reliability, dealer reach, and resale make life simple, and petrol suits 4,000 km a year with weekly starts without battery worries.Do note the GX(O) is light on some nice-to-have features, and the petrol will not be as efficient as the hybrid, but your annual running keeps fuel spend in check.If you want a lower price and a more city-friendly size, the Kia Carens Clavis petrol automatic HTX(O) 6-seater is your next best pick. Pick the Maruti Suzuki Jimny; at this price, it is the only real off-roader that can also play the role of a family SUV. It has a proper 4x4 system with low-range, light body and short overhangs, so it is properly capable off-road. A usable back seat makes school runs and city errands easy, and its small size means parking is stress-free. Running costs and service are simple almost anywhere, being a Maruti.Do note, it is a narrow 4-seater with a small boot, making it ideal for a family of four, not five with luggage. The 1.5 petrol engine is fine in the city but feels underpowered on highways.If your budget is a strict on-road Rs. 15 lakh, look for deals on the Jimny Alpha MT or the Jimny Zeta AT.

Also, the Citroen brand has a small dealer network, so ready service is available only in pockets. Further, the Citroen brand is not very strong at the moment, and this will impact resale value down the road.Also note, the diesel engine is best suited for longer runs. Its smooth diesel engine is one of its highlights, and the ride quality remains comfortable even over broken roads and rough patches.If cabin space is top priority, the Kia Syros is worth a look. It is incredibly spacious and also offers added flexibility with sliding rear seats, allowing you to make more room for luggage when needed. Cabin quality is very impressive too. However, the Syros does deliver a firm ride, and that takes away from the comfort experience. You should also look at the Mahindra XUV 3XO. The cabin is roomy, and ride comfort is impressive. There is a toughness to the Mahindra that you will appreciate over bad patches of road. However, the Mahindra offers the least room for luggage.
