•18wHi, I am a regular reader of your page. Your suggestions are excellent. I want to buy a 5-seater diesel car. My running is around 1,500 km per month, and my budget is Rs 12-15 lakh. Is the Tata Nexon diesel AMT a good option?

While the Tata Nexon AMT is a good choice, the Kia Sonet would be a better buy. It has a nicer, well-finished interior, the infotainment and touchscreen interface is a lot better, and the overall quality is nicer.
The diesel engine, too, is more refined, and the torque converter automatic gearbox is smoother than the AMT. You also get more equipment and kit, and Kia's aftersales is better than what Tata offers.
The downsides are space in the rear is not as much as the Nexon, but if that is not a high priority for you, the Kia Sonet diesel is a very strong option worth considering. The HTX variant in particular.
