I’m planning to buy a new bike, and I'm confused between the TVS Ronin, RE Hunter, Yamaha XSR155, Honda CB350, and Yezdi Roadster. My priorities are rider and pillion comfort, reliability, low maintenance, good fuel efficiency, and mild off-road ability. Which one should I buy?

Of all the options you have shortlisted, we'd recommend choosing between the TVS Ronin, Royal Enfield Hunter and Honda CB350.

Hi, I lik TVS Ronin, but I also liked Honda highness when I seen it. At present I'm in Rajahmundry which is a town and here the roads are not too good but not too bad there good and bad roads too and yeah there's some traffic and maybe very soon I'll move to some other place which might be a metropolitan city so I need a suggestion and thank you.

Since you predominantly use your bike inside Pune city, choosing a machine with good comfort would be wise. Neo-retro machines like the Honda CB350 trio, Royal Enfield Hunter / Classic / Bullet 350 and TVS Ronin would fit the bill well and offer you a great step up from your Passion Pro too. If instead you want something off-road oriented, then the Hero Xpulse 210 and TVS Apache RTX 300 will make sense. Take a test ride of these very different bikes before you make your decision.

I am planning to buy the Honda CB350 H'ness for my husband. Are there any other neo-retro bikes in this segment? My budget is Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Within Honda's own stable, you'll find siblings to the CB350 with different styling but similiar underpinnings, should your husband want a different design. Another option to look at is Royal Enfield's 350cc lineup, specifically the Hunter / Bullet / Classic models, because these will be more comfortable than their siblings, the Meteor and Goan Classic. The REs are noticeably heavier than the Hondas but have a more characterful engine, so pick between them depending on what experience your husband is looking for. If this bike is going to be solely used for casual weekend rides, then we'd strongly recommend considering the gorgeous Goan Classic 350, which will appeal with its flashy colours and bobber aesthetic.

After owning and loving my Yamaha MT-15 for the past 7 years, I'm finally looking for my next motorcycle, one I'll hopefully keep for the next 10+ years. I've test-ridden the new Duke, Speed 400, and Triumph Tracker 400. Duke: Absolutely loved its chassis, handling, braking, and confidence, but the aggressive styling and character aren't really my taste. Speed 400: Silky smooth, refined, and comfortable, but it didn't excite me enough. Tracker 400: My favourite among the Triumphs. I loved how naturally it leaned with my body and how confidently it absorbed bad roads. I just wished it had a bit more power and an even smoother drivetrain. These rides made me realise I'm looking for an enthusiast motorcycle, not just a comfortable commuter. Budget: Less than Rs 5 lakh (slightly stretchable). Could you please suggest the best bike to upgrade to for me?

Since you found the KTM 39O Duke too aggressive and the 350cc Triumph Speed / Tracker models a little bland, a good alternative to these is the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. The engine of this Royal Enfield bike has a potent mid-range, its handling is quite engaging, and the ownership experience is likely to be pleasant as well.Take a test ride and see if you gel with the Guerrilla.

The Honda Unicorn will make for a good upgrade over your Activa, given your daily 70km stint. Commuter motorcycles are some of the most comfortable and fuss-free machines you can buy today, especially so in the case of the Unicorn. If you want alternatives to the proven Honda, look at the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V for a sportier, more feature-rich experience without sacrificing comfort and usability. I would like to know if it is normal for a fully charged, unused Ather 450 X to lose 1-3 km of indicated range without being ridden.

Do not worry, it is completely normal to see a 1-3 km drop in the displayed range on your Ather 450 X after a full charge, even if the scooter has not been ridden. This is not a sign of battery degradation or a fault. What you are seeing is a combination of two things: battery self-discharge and the way the range estimator works. All lithium-ion batteries lose a tiny amount of charge when parked overnight or for a few days, even when the scooter has not been in use. More importantly, the range estimate is not a fixed number - it is a calculation based on the current state of charge and your recent riding patterns. Even a small change in battery percentage can cause the displayed range to drop by a few kilometres.

Hi, I would like your suggestion on a good bike for my needs. I am 40 years old, 5'9" tall, weigh 115 kg, and have a family. My daily commute is 72 km. The road conditions are around 6 out of 10, considering potholes and speed breakers. Traffic is above average; if I were to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the least and 10 is the highest, I would rate it 7. I am open to both ICE and electric bikes. I would also prefer a bike that offers good fuel efficiency.
