My daily running is 170km on busy highways and around 4000km per month. Right now, I have an Elite i20 petrol with an aftermarket CNG kit, and I spend ₹600 daily. Now I want to upgrade my car to something over 4 metres. Kindly suggest a car with high mileage, good safety, and features. I have looked at the CNG variants of Grand Vitara, Hyryder, Victoris, and Brezza.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris CNG is a solid choice for your needs. It is economical and suitable for longer trips, has underbody-mounted CNG tanks that do not hamper boot space, and the higher variants are very well equipped.
While the Grand Vitara, Hyryder, Brezza and Victoris all use the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine with factory-fitted CNG, the Victoris is the only one with dual underbody-mounted tanks, which means it offers better boot space than the others. One drawback is that it does not come with a spare wheel as standard, which is instead offered as an accessory. The Victoris is also more feature-rich than other Maruti models. Compared to the Grand Vitara, it gets a larger touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster and Level 2 ADAS. It has also scored five stars in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.
If you are on a budget, then consider the Tata Punch CNG, which uses dual tanks and has a more usable boot than the Brezza.
On the test drive, drive at steady highway speeds and attempt an overtake to see if you are satisfied with the performance.

Hello Autocar family, I am planning to buy a new car for me and my grandfather. I already have a Hyundai Santro at home, so this will be my second car. The mandatory requirements are a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and decent mileage. My daily commute is around 30 km, including 20 km on the highway and 10 km in the city. The cars we are considering are the Kia Seltos GTX A, Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7T, Maruti Suzuki Victoris ZXI Plus (O), Hyundai Creta N Line, and Tata Sierra Adventure. I am also open to considering the Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. We are both confused and haven't been able to agree on one option. Please help us out, guys!

Go for the Kia Seltos GTX A. It is the most balanced choice for your requirements. Your daily usage of 30 km, with a mix of highway and city driving, does not justify a diesel, so a strong turbo-petrol with a reliable automatic gearbox is the better choice.This Kia car offers the panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera you want, along with a well-rounded ownership experience, a wide service network, and a comfortable ride for your grandfather. The Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7 T is also a good option, but it is a much larger vehicle and not as easy to live with in the city.The Maruti Suzuki Victoris ZXI Plus (O) is a strong value-for-money proposition, but the Seltos feels more premium and better finished. The Hyundai Creta N Line is a good alternative if you prefer Hyundai, but the Seltos feels like the more complete package. Given your budget, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris VXI Strong Hybrid CVT, the Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid Delta+ AT, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Petrol S Hybrid AT are all excellent cars under 20 lakhs. Do note that these are the entry-level variants of their respective hybrid line-ups, so they miss out on a few premium features. That said, all three of these hybrid cars share the same powertrain, underpinnings and are essentially the same car underneath, with the only differentiation being their interior and exterior design, so it ultimately comes down to which one appeals to you the most. Their powertrain is smooth and highly fuel-efficient, making it ideal for frequent city driving.All three should offer enough space and comfort for someone who is 6'2" tall in the front seats. However, rear headroom could be a bit of an issue.

The AMT gearbox is smooth enough for daily commuting, and the car is very easy to drive. Fuel efficiency is decent; expect 9 to 10kpl in the city and 15kpl on the highway.If you want something a bit more efficient, consider the Maruti Suzuki Swift. In our testing we managed 12.7kpl in the city and 19kpl on the highway with the AGS.
