I am confused between the Mahindra 3XO, Hyundai Venue, and Honda Elevate. I am considering petrol automatic variants (preferably non-AMT). My usage will be mostly city driving with occasional highway trips. I am looking for a car without a sunroof and with good overall performance. Could you please help me choose the right option?

Unfortunately, both Mahindra and Hyundai have paired their respective automatic versions with a sunroof, which should rule them out for you.

The Honda Elevate V CVT doesn't get a sunroof, but it delivers strong performance, and it meets your requirements. It is a no-nonsense car with comfortable seats, excellent ride-handling balance, and a smooth CVT automatic transmission. It is also a size larger than the Mahindra XUV 3XO and Hyundai Venue, so space and boot space are better too.

Another option you could consider is the 2026 Volkswagen Taigun Highline 1.0TSI with the new 8-speed automatic transmission.

I am using Honda jazz petrol Automatic car from 2021. I liked for Mid size SUV which comfort & ground clearance. I have monthly two time will go to Thoothukudi, one time to kollam also. Should I have to go for diseal or a Hybrid vehicle. Pls give me advice. Thank you

I am confused between Tata Nexon Fearless DCA and Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L TC. My average monthly running is 1000 km which includes 70% highway driving. The Nexon is a good car, but the dual-clutch automatic can feel hesitant at low speeds and the engine isn't as strong. If you want a GNCAP-tested alternative, the Skoda Kushaq is worth a look – it has a 5-star GNCAP rating, a strong turbo petrol engine and a well-sorted ride, but it will be more expensive than the Nexon and 3XO.

We would strongly advise against installing aftermarket CNG on any of these SUVs. All three – the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV 7XO and Scorpio N - are large, heavy vehicles with powerful turbocharged petrol engines. Fitting CNG to such engines is not recommended, as it can lead to drivability issues, increased wear and potential reliability concerns over time. More importantly, these SUVs are not designed with CNG in mind, and the installation can compromise safety and performance.If fuel economy is a top priority, opt for their diesel versions instead. The Mahindra and Tata offer strong torque, excellent highway efficiency and are well-suited to long-distance touring. If you are set on CNG, it is better to look at smaller, naturally aspirated petrol cars that are either factory-fitted or specifically designed for CNG use.Between the three, the XUV 7XO diesel would be our recommendation. It offers a more modern package, better ride comfort and a more premium cabin than the Scorpio N, while the Safari diesel is also a strong contender if you prefer Tata's design and feature set. But CNG should not be the deciding factor here.
