Need genuine advice Currently, I own a Maruti Suzuki Swift VXI DualJet and am planning to upgrade to a compact SUV within a ₹10 lakh budget. I am confused between: - Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX M - Tata Nexon Pure Plus - Skoda Kylaq Classic Connect Interestingly, all three are coming around the same price for me. Since I am coming from Suzuki, I also checked the Maruti Brezza, but honestly, it feels a bit expensive given the features and engine offered in the XUV 3XO RevX M and the Nexon Pure Plus. My priorities are: - Best engine performance and driving feel - Reliability for long-term ownership - Less maintenance/service cost - Good mileage - Comfortable for highway + city usage - Good after-sales experience I mostly drive in city traffic, but also do occasional long highway trips. Would really appreciate feedback from actual owners regarding: - Which has the best engine refinement and performance? - Which one is cheapest to maintain after 5–7 years? - Any issues with Tata/Mahindra/Skoda service? - Is Brezza still a better practical choice despite lower power? - Which one would feel like the best upgrade coming from a Swift? Its turbo petrol feels clearly stronger than your Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Brezza, so gaps in traffic and highway passes need less effort, and the car feels steady and comfortable at speed. Go for the Mahindra XUV 3XO, and get the petrol with the 6‑speed automatic. It gives you a roomy back seat, a strong crash rating, and a planted and secure highway ride that suits your 80 percent highway use. The turbo petrol engine is the strongest here, and it's the only one of your shortlist to get a smooth torque-converter automatic gearbox. The only real downside is that the boot is not as big as that of rivals, and fuel economy won't be as good either, but for your largely highway use, the difference won't be so bad.The Hyundai Venue HX5 is fine for four but tight for five on long trips, and while the Kia Syros HTK Plus feels the largest, rear width and thigh support are only average, and its ride quality is quite choppy. Tata Nexon diesel would be lovely on highways and is safe, but the diesel automatic is an AMT, which is nowhere near as smooth as the XUV's torque converter, or even the Hyundai/Kia's DCT.

Hi, I am a resident of Bangalore and drive mainly in the city, with occasional highway drives. I am planning to buy a car that can handle both. Right now, my choices are the Honda Amaze IVT automatic and the Maruti Fronx CVT automatic. Please recommend the better of the two cars. Factors to be considered are mileage, service cost, spare part cost, driving comfort, and, of course, reliability. Also, please let me know if the Mahindra XUV 3XO torque converter automatic is a better choice compared to these two. I am looking for value for money, good mileage, longevity, and good performance.

A correction, first. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx does not come with a CVT. The base 1.2-litre petrol engine is offered with an AMT, while the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol gets a torque-converter auto combination. Both versions are fuel-efficient for their respective engine type. However, given your priorities, the Fronx AMT makes more sense. It isn't the slickest gearbox, but it is smooth enough for everyday city driving. What really strengthens the Fronx AMT's case is its fuel economy, which is comparable to that of a manual car. You will not have any issues with spare parts or service costs. The Fronx Turbo AT offers a smoother, punchier experience, but fuel economy takes a hit. The Honda Amaze CVT is very smooth and refined, making for a practical package. However, mileage isn't as good as the Fronx AMT, and long-term ownership costs will be higher than those of a Maruti, too.The Mahindra XUV 3XO with the torque-converter automatic is an exciting option, but doesn't fit your key requirements. The turbo-petrol engine and torque converter auto combo isn't particularly efficient.

I'm confused between BREZZA zxi, Victoris Vxi or Venue hx5, all in petrol manual variant. Which is a better option in terms of mileage, performance, features and comfort? Also, suggest any better option.

Pick the Maruti Brezza ZXi manual. For a 30 km daily city run, it’s the easiest to live with and will consistently return the best real-world mileage here. Its light controls make it easy to drive in town, and its 1.5 petrol feels stronger than the Venue’s 1.2. Ride comfort over broken roads is better too, and the ZXi trim packs all the features you’d need and stays within your Rs. 11-13 lakh budget.The Venue HX5 petrol manual is fine in town, but with four people and the AC on, it feels short on punch on the highway, and the mileage gain over Brezza isn’t big enough to matter. The Victoris is mechanically identical to the Brezza, but the VXi is out of your budget. Do note, the Brezza isn’t exciting to drive, and quick overtakes will need a downshift.
