The Tata Sierra EV is a genuinely appealing product, but your concerns about aftersales are valid. Tata has made significant improvements in service quality over the past few years, but the network still lacks the consistency of Maruti, Hyundai, Toyota or Honda. The bigger concern is that the Sierra EV is a brand-new product with no long-term ownership track record yet, so there is always a small risk of teething issues that only emerge with real-world use.

I have bought Nexon EV, though I am happy with car but with the service centres are really horrible. I got the problem in AC after two months of purchase. Still the problem is not resolved, brand is doing good by releasing the futuristic EV cars but the service centers and dealers are really lethargic and don’t respond. Buying experience was horrible and now service experience is worst. Previously, I have used Hyundai and VW cars and never faced any service issue, these brands really take care of their customers.

After sales service is very very bad, I bought sierra 2 months back, I didn't face any major problem but several software and parts noise problem, visited service center 3 times, they take the car but don't work on it for several hours because their center is full, they will call you early in morning as soon as they open saying sooner you come sooner you will get the vehicle. I raised this concern to tata motors and service center gm and hod came to me with bad attitude saying customer service is only going to raise a ticket And don't ask quality of work they do, a light was loose so they took a piece of hard foam and put it inside to remove the noise, all jugaad and hod of service center don't like the customer to see what they are doing to the car. Absolutely pathetic service

As far as tata and their service center are concerned nobody is going to help you because this is what happens, you raise a complaint if tata wishes to respond, they will send you to service center if you are not happy with Service center then either you can fight with them as all they know is arguing and no working ethics. And if you complaint about service center to tata motors you again get connected to service center, it's a vicious cycle to let you suffer Just go for hyundai, have been to multiple hyundai service center during my 8 years of ownership, never faced any problem

I have waited for Sierra.EV for long, booked harrier.ev on its launch but did not go fir it - bcuz its typically SUV looks … wanted modern and tech led vehicle. All ev’s being tech/software led are known to have some teething issues most of the time … being in IT industry i know it well but as long as Tata is keen and open to solve them when reported - it shall be manageable. Got Sierra.ev QWD Rapid … colour delivered to me on 1st day 😊… i am loving it and enjoying its tech - looking fwd to long journey to get bigger enjoyment.

I bought a Tata Nexon about 10 months back. From the first two weeks onwards till now, the car keeps showing me an engine malfunction error message. The car has been sent to the dealer's workshop 7 times, and one time the dealer's technicians did a home visit. Till date problem is not resolved. Everytime the dealer casually just resets the software application, claims everything is ok, without ever attending the root cause. Totally casual, rubbish approach. The big risk is I am unable to differentiate between a serious and genuine engine issue and a false alarm. I regret buying a Tata car. They still cannot make a roadworthy and reliable vehicle. Should just make trucks.

Never go for Tata cars! I bought an Altroz about 3 years ago and it always had issues where the car just used to turn off, even while moving in good 3rd and 4th gear which was dangerous. I ended up selling it due to really poor service from the dealers. I tried multiple service center and none could diagnose the problem and I also lost a lot of money getting the service done. I switched to a Baleno AGS from a nearby NEXA and they have an excellent service. Go for Maruti or hyundai at Max.

Based on your requirements, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara would be our recommendation. It offers a comfortable cabin, especially up front, a relaxed driving experience and a good suite of comfort features.The Mahindra BE 6 has the edge on performance, while the Tata Sierra EV has more space, and both offer a longer real-world range, but they are also considerably more expensive and, for your requirements, not worth the extra outlay. The e-Vitara is a good all-rounder, with more than sufficient range, and also the comfort features you seek - ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera.The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella is the same as the e-Vitara but more expensive, and again, it doesn't justify its premium. Overall, the e-Vitara strikes the best balance between comfort, features and ease of ownership for your needs.

Go for the Honda Elevate CVT. Both the Elevate and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder mild hybrid use naturally aspirated petrol engines, but the Elevate’s 1.5-litre engine is more refined, and the CVT gearbox is silky smooth, making it a more relaxed car to drive in everyday conditions. The Elevate also benefits from Honda’s strong reputation for long-term reliability and low maintenance costs, which is exactly what you want from a naturally aspirated petrol automatic. The Hyryder is still a good car, but the Elevate is the more complete package for this brief.

Go for the Toyota Innova Hycross strong hybrid. With your daily running of 15-20 km and occasional 60-70 km trips, a diesel does not make financial sense, and the hybrid will give you significantly better fuel efficiency in city driving than petrol. The Hycross is also the more comfortable and spacious 7-seater, with a proven Toyota ownership experience and lower long-term maintenance costs. The XUV 7XO is the better driver's car, offers more features and has a more premium cabin, but for your usage pattern, the Hycross strong hybrid is the more sensible and hassle-free choice.

Help me choose the right car for my usage. Please be practical and challenge my assumptions. My situation: I am 31 and work as a software developer. I currently work from home in Balsane, Dhule, but I am moving to Mumbai around March. My wife and I are expecting a baby in February. My parents live in a village where local transport is poor. The AC is usually on, and on long trips, the car will have my wife, baby, and luggage. Budget: Rs. 6-9 lakh on-road. I am willing to spend more only if it is genuinely worth it. Shortlist: - Tiago XE Petrol - Punch Pure+/Smart Petrol - Punch Pure+/Smart CNG - Brezza LXi turbo-petrol Please tell me: 1. Which one should I buy and why? 2. Petrol vs CNG for my usage? The CNG premium is around Rs. 1 lakh, and the nearby village pump may open around Diwali, but this is not guaranteed. 3. What real-world mileage can I expect with the AC on? 4. Please consider loan interest, fuel costs, maintenance, depreciation, and resale value. 5. Is the Brezza worth the extra money? 6. Give me one final choice and tell me what I should avoid.

The Brezza LXI Turbo is far superior to the Punch and Tiago as far as smoothness, performance, and cabin space are concerned. It is also backed by Maruti's widespread support network, and the ownership experience is likely to be fuss-free. The on-road cost of the Brezza LXI will fall within your Rs 9 lakh budget, and even though you might miss a few features, it still feels worth opting for. Alternatively, you could also consider the Maruti Dzire VXI MT for its large boot, comfy ride and strong fuel efficiency.
