Indian Supercross Racing League Season 3 adds new category
New season kicks off in December 2026
ISRL races are held in city centres, on dirt tracks featuring steep jumps and obstacles. The first two seasons featured three categories: 450cc and 250cc for international riders, plus a 250cc India-Asia mix category. The last of these let Indian riders line up against top supercross talent from across the globe and learn from them on track.
A fourth category is being added this year, aimed at giving emerging Indian riders the chance to break into supercross racing. This will use the same 250cc bikes as the India-Asia mix category but is open to only Indian riders. Since every team has to field two riders in each category, this means the league will feature more Indian riders for Season 3.
Manufacturers are also taking on a larger role this season. Earlier this year, Honda announced it has signed on as BB Racing’s new title sponsor, and now Ducati has confirmed a similar deal with Punit Balan Group-backed PBG Racing. The team will field the Desmo450 MX, along with the recently revealed Desmo250 MX.
“We introduced Ducati’s off-road programme to India at the ISRL Season 2 finale in Calicut, and the response has been exceptional,” said Bipul Chandra, managing director, Ducati India. “As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, Ducati is proud of the racing pedigree, off-road programme reaching millions across global markets, and now in India we have a great platform to express our capabilities and establish our leadership at a competitive grid. As an OEM, Ducati India is fully committed to this partnership and to inspiring a new generation of riders across the country in Season 3.”
ISRL Season 3 will run from December 2026 to February 2027, with seven teams competing. Three rounds will be held, although the locations haven’t been confirmed yet.
