MotoGP returns to Brazil after over 20 years, with Autodromo Internacional de Goiânia – Ayrton Senna (named after the three-time F1 world champion) set to host Round 2 of the 2026 season. The 3.835km long circuit features a good mix of fast straights and technical corners. After a strong showing at the season-opening Thai GP, Aprilia certainly enters the weekend as a favourite. But will the new venue give Ducati the chance to bounce back?
Formula E also heads to a new venue this weekend, with Round 6 at Madrid’s Circuito del Jarama. Here is your complete guide on when and where to tune in from India:
MotoGP Brazilian GP schedule
After a strong pre-season test, Aprilia kicked off the 2026 MotoGP season on a strong note, with Marco Bezzecchi winning the first feature race. Moreover, four Aprilia bikes featured in the top five. KTM also impressed with Pedro Acosta winning the Sprint Race; in fact, the Spanish rider currently leads the standings due to Bezzecchi’s sprint race crash.
The race also brought an end to Ducati’s impressive podium streak of 88 in a row. A rear tyre puncture forced Marc Marquez to retire from the Thai GP, while his teammate Francesco Bagnaia could only salvage a P9 result. So Ducati will be hoping the new venue gives them the chance to bounce back.

Formula E Madrid E Prix schedule
Formula E has visited Madrid’s Circuito del Jarama before. The former F1 track hosted 2024/25 Formula E pre-season testing, but this is the first time that Formula E will race here. This race will also feature Pit Boost, which means drivers will have to take a mandatory 30-sec pit stop for a 10 percent battery recharge. This should add another layer of strategy in addition to the usual Attack Mode boost.
The first five races of the season have delivered five different race winners. Indian team Mahindra Racing currently stands third overall in the teams’ championship, behind Porsche and Jaguar. The team enjoyed a strong Jeddah double-header with Edoardo Mortara scoring two back-to-back pole positions, which he converted into P2 and P4 finishes. This places him second in the drivers’ standings, just six points behind leader Pascal Wehrlein.
