It’s time for one of the most awaited motorsport events of that year, with the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 10-14. The event stands as one of racing’s most iconic challenges, forming the coveted Triple Crown alongside the Monaco GP and Indy 500. The question is – will Ferrari clinch its fourth Le Mans win in a row or will we see a new winner crowned?
That’s not all, though. The fan-favourite Circuit de Barcelona is hosting both F1 and F2 this weekend as well. Here’s your complete guide for when and where to tune in from India:
2026 Le Mans schedule
The 13.626km Circuit de la Sarthe leaves little room for error, with drivers racing wheel-to-wheel at speeds of up to 350kph, that too with 70 percent of the lap spent at full throttle. And yet, outright pace is only part of the puzzle at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Strategy, mechanical reliability and consistency are just as critical as speed. With double points on offer, it’s a race that can change the course of the title battle entirely.
Ferrari heads to Le Mans looking to defend its crown after Robert Kubica, Yifei Yei and Phil Hanson (racing for AF Corse) secured the marque’s third consecutive win last year. But the team still needs to win a race this year. In fact, BMW holds the overall lead after a historic one-two finish at Spa, while Toyota won the season-opener at Imola. But it’s still a close battle at the top of the standings, with just 17 points separating the three teams.
This year’s edition will also see Hyundai’s Genesis Racing team making its Le Mans debut. It will be racing in the headlining Hypercar class alongside entries from Aston Martin, Alpine, Peugeot and Cadillac. Together with the LMP2 and LMGT3 classes, a total of 62 cars will feature on the starting grid this year.
Le Mans 24 Hours: Where to watch?
Eurosport will broadcast limited coverage of the race in India. However, for those who want to catch all 24 hours of action live, there is the FIAWEC+ stream. The Le Mans race pass costs €19.99 (around Rs 2,200) and includes live stream for all sessions, on board camera feed and replays of the race.
