This year’s title battle has boiled down to Piastri vs Norris. Piastri currently leads the standings with six race wins to his name and is the only driver to have scored points in every single round so far this season. However, his teammate Norris is just nine points behind and has gained ground recently, having won three of the last four races.

Both Mercedes and Ferrari have also made good progress recently. And although Red Bull struggled for pace last time out at the Hungarian GP, you can’t count out Verstappen, especially at a venue that has traditionally been strong for him. Since Zandvoort returned to the calendar in 2021, the Dutch Driver has won his home race thrice and finished second once.

The weather can mix things up a bit this weekend, with a strong chance of rain on race day. Verstappen highlighted this during Thursday’s press conference, saying, “I don’t think this [Zandvoort] is going to be our best track in the remainder of the calendar, but then again, there might be some weather coming in as well. So that always creates a bit of chaos, so we just need to see what happens.”
