Toyota expands used car business

Toyota U-Trust, the used car brand of Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM), has expanded operations to 77 outlets in 56 cities across 19 states in India (up from 37 outlets in 2012).The carmaker said that with this expansion, it plans to cater to a wider section of the used car audience and also enhance their car buying experience to be on par with new car buyers.

Toyota U-Trust was launched here in 2007 to facilitate sales, purchase and exchange of used cars, both from Toyota and other brands.

Commenting on the expansion N Raja, director and senior vice president, marketing and sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said “With the expansion of Toyota U-Trust, we are now equipped to provide quality cars, convenience, transparency and value for money to every customer on a much wider scale. Also, with our trained technicians and offers of best in industry warranty and certification along with refurbishment of cars with Toyota genuine parts, we ensure the delivery of best quality used cars.”

Toyota U-Trust offers a two year or 30,000km warranty on all its certified used cars which Toyota says undergo a 203 point check-sheet inspection and a full documentation check prior to certification.
