Tata Motors is looking to spark fresh customer interest in its Aria MPV range by adding a new base variant. The new trim is called the Aria 4x2 Pure LX and is priced at Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The lower price comes at the cost of  equipment such as the audio system, airbags, follow-me-home headlamps, body-coloured rubber strips, chrome interior door handles, and chrome bordered lower air dam, and the roof storage compartments.

The Aria Pure LX also comes with vinyl seats instead of the fabric ones available in higher trims. Apart from these cosmetic changes, mechanical changes include the deletion of ABS and EBD and usage of a single-mass flywheel as opposed to a dual-mass unit that’s on the higher variants.

The closest competitor to the Aria Pure LX the Toyota Innova E (8-seater) which is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
