Porsche India is now offering the Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel with the Platinum Edition package. Previously offered only on the standard Cayenne, the Platinum Edition models come with a longer equipment list compared to the standard model. The petrol Cayenne S Platinum Edition is priced at Rs 1.27 crore, while the diesel is priced at Rs 1.31 crore (all prices ex-showroom, Maharashtra).

What distinguishes the Platinum Edition models from the standard Cayenne S are blacked-out trim bits on the exterior in place of the standard car’s chrome bits. The cladding on the wheel arches are now finished in body colour instead of black, and the wheels have been upsized from 18-inch units to 21-inchers.

Changes to the cabin include eight-way adjustable sports seats up front, leather and Alcantara upholstery, Porsche logos embossed on the seat headrests and door sill guards carrying 'Platinum Edition' badging.

As mentioned above, the Platinum Edition Cayenne S gets more equipment than its standard counterpart. Standard equipment offered includes bi-xenon headlamps with a dynamic cornering function, front and rear parking sensors, Porsche's PCM touchscreen infotainment system with navigation paired with a Bose audio system and heated front seats.

The Platinum Edition models feature no mechanical changes over the standard Cayenne S. The petrol model continues to be powered by the 420hp 3.6-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder petrol engine while the S diesel is powered by the 385hp twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine. Both engines come paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
