Mercedes-Benz has launched its updated E-class line-up. We had reported earlier that the German carmaker is working on an equipment update for the E-class.  The MY (Model Year) 16 Mercedes E-class, like the earlier car, comes in three engine options — the E 200 petrol, the E 250 CDI diesel and the top-spec E 350 CDI diesel.

The new E-class sedan line-up sees the addition of Telematics with a navigation-ready function. This system is the new Audio 20 Telematics unit equipped with internet capability, radio, Bluetooth and a single CD player. This system also has an integrated media interface for iPods and iPhones. It also gets a new high-resolution 7.9-inch screen and a pre-installation set-up for the Garmin Map Pilot 3D navigation system. Customers can opt for this navigation system which comes with pre-loaded maps for 7,068 cities with street-level and house-level data for 80 cities. The navigation software with map data is available on an SD card.

The updated E-class also gets a reverse camera as standard in all variants.

Prices for the updated Mercedes E-Class range are as follows:

Mercedes E 200 petrol: Rs 48.5 lakh
Mercedes E 250 CDI diesel: Rs 50.70 lakh
Mercedes E 350 CDI diesel: Rs 59.9 lakh
