We broke the story a little while ago that Hyundai will soon offer the i20 with a touchscreen infotainment system. Now our sources have confirmed this news, with Hyundai equipping the top trim levels of the i20 and the i20 Active with a touchscreen infotainment system. The seven-inch AVN system will be seen on the top-spec SX trim of the i20 Active, while the i20 gets the system on its new top-spec Asta(O) trim.

The i20 Active continues to be offered in three trim levels – Base, S and SX – with the top-spec SX trim now being offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine as well. The touchscreen system offers Bluetooth, aux and USB connectivity, as well as the display of the rear parking camera, previously shown on the rear-view mirror.

The standard i20 hatchback's new top trim level, Asta(O), is positioned above the Asta trim. The Asta(O) trim gets the addition of the seven-inch touchscreen AVN system with USB, aux and Bluetooth connectivity, along with all the features present on the Asta trim.

The prices of these new variants with audio-video-navigation are:

Hyundai i20 petrol Asta (O): Rs 7.49 lakh
Hyundai i20 diesel Asta (O): Rs 8.69 lakh
Hyundai i20 Active SX petrol: Rs 8.30 lakh
Hyundai i20 Active SX diesel: Rs 9.61 lakh

All prices, ex-showroom, Mumbai

Hyundai is also in the process of offering the same infotainment system in the Verna as well. The car manufacturer has also updated the feature list of the Eon and Xcent
